Why is Little Pim a great teaching tool?

Why is Little Pim a great teaching tool?

  • Ideal for language specialists, classroom teacher generalists and homeschool teachers – even if the teachers themselves can’t speak the language.
  • Can be used by all children, no matter their first language (for example, Spanish speakers learning German)
  • The voices are all native speakers
  • The DVDs are great to use on their own or in conjunction with other world language materials, such as music, flashcards, and games.

The Teacher’s Guide was written by Nathan Lutz – a lower school world language teacher, President of Language Educators of Central New York, and National Networking Coordinator of National Network for Early Language Learning (NNELL). It provides useful tips for making the most of Little Pim in the classroom, as well as samples and templates for a lesson plan, a letter home to parents, and a student worksheet.

Samples and Templates

Click below to get downloadable samples of a lesson plan, a letter to parents, and a student worksheet:

Note: These samples are for a Spanish lesson. For all other languages, create your own lesson plan and letter to parents with the model templates, using the Spanish examples as a guide. You will need to translate the “core vocabulary” in the lesson plans, words and phrases from the DVD episode, to the language you are teaching. If you have any questions, please consult the Companion Scripts.

Once you’ve purchased the Kit, you’ll get an access code for downloadable lesson plans and starter student worksheets for all 21 episodes in the three-pak. Of course, you already have free access to all the games, activities, and language-specific companion guides on the rest of the website.
